Switch from your EHR

Moving here is a weekend, not a project.

Free concierge migration for practices coming from any system: we import your clients, insurance, and schedule with you on a call, and stay on until your first claim goes out. Thirty-day free trial while you transition — run both systems and cancel the old one when you're sure.

30 days · No credit card · The import wizard maps your files automatically

The four steps

How the free migration works

One scheduled call, one checklist, and a month with both systems running. The order matters, which is why it is numbered.

1

Export from your current system

Every major practice platform lets you export clients and appointments as CSV or Excel from its reports screen, and most export chart histories as PDFs. We send you a two-minute checklist of exactly which reports to download for your system.

2

We import it with you — free

On a scheduled call, we run your files through the import wizard together: demographics, insurance details, and schedule, with a dry-run preview before anything is written. Exports from SimplePractice, Jane, TheraNest, and similar systems map automatically.

3

Keep both systems for a month

Run Sefton alongside your old system during the transition — the 30-day free trial exists so the switch costs nothing while you verify everything landed. Your old subscription is your safety net until you cancel it.

4

First claim out the door

If you bill insurance, we walk payer re-enrollment (ERA/EFT re-registration) with you and stay on call until your first Sefton claim is accepted. Claims are unlimited on Sefton Complete — $0 per-claim fees and no revenue share.

Straight answers

What moves, and what to know

Every practice platform has the same export shape, so we can be precise about this — and honest about the things no vendor can migrate for you.

Imports automatically

  • Client demographics and contact details
  • Insurance: payer, member ID, group, subscriber
  • Upcoming appointments and recurring schedules
  • Emergency contacts and caregiver relationships

Worth knowing up front

  • Structured clinical notes — every system exports these as PDFs; attach them to charts so history stays at hand
  • Old billing history — industry-wide, it does not transfer cleanly between systems; keep read access to your old account for lookups
  • Payer enrollments — ERA/EFT re-registration is required by payers when any practice changes systems; we guide it step by step

Switching FAQ

Common questions about switching

How long does switching actually take?

For most solo and small group practices: one scheduled import call, then a weekend of settling in. The import itself takes minutes once your exports are in hand; the calendar time is payer re-enrollment if you bill insurance, which runs in the background while you keep practicing.

What does the migration cost?

Nothing. The concierge import call, the checklist, and the re-enrollment guidance are free, and the 30-day trial means you are not paying for Sefton while you transition either.

Will my clients notice the change?

They will notice the upgrade: a portal in their own language (11 of them, Spanish through Haitian Creole), telehealth with live interpretation, and intake that pre-fills from an eligibility check instead of a clipboard of forms.

What if I change my mind?

Your data exports back out of Sefton the same way it came in — records, documents, and claims history. No long-term contract on either plan.
