Credentials, credentialing, and the license scanner
Keep licenses, certifications, and payer credentialing records current, get expiry alerts, and scan a license with the camera to fill the credential form.
Settings > Credentials groups two things: your professional credentials and your payer credentialing.
Credentials
Each license or certification: type, number, state, issue and expiry dates, and the document. Expiring credentials raise an alert ahead of the date so renewals are not a surprise.
License Scanner
Start Scan, position the license in frame (or upload a photo), and the scanner extracts the fields. Verify each one, then Use in Credential Form. Images are processed for extraction and not kept in the browser.
Credentialing
Settings > Credentialing tracks each provider’s status with each payer (application sent, in process, approved, effective date, recredentialing due). It feeds Payer participation, which decides whether a visit becomes a claim or a superbill (Payers and rates).
