Setting up payments

Settings > Billing (Patient payments) connects your practice’s payout account through the embedded onboarding. Until it is complete the Patient payments card says payments are not enabled.

Statements

On the patient record, Patient payments > Generate statement builds a statement of the outstanding balance from posted claims and payments. Statements show Generated, Sent, or Void, and Open PDF.

Paying

The family pays from the portal’s Billing tab (Outstanding balance, Pay) or from the link in the statement. Payment received lands on the receivables view and on the claim’s balance.

Good Faith Estimates

Good-faith estimates on the record: Generate estimate opens the editor prefilled from the plan of care (prescribed frequency times duration) or, without a plan, from a typical course of care for the discipline. Edit descriptions, codes, units, and rates; Issue estimate. Estimates show Issued, Expired, or Superseded, and are shared to the portal.

Receivables

Billing > Receivables shows AR aging by payer and patient, so patient balances are worked with the same rhythm as payer balances.
