Goals and progress
Write long-term and short-term goals, record session-by-session progress, watch trajectories, and generate progress reports you can submit to a payer or attach to a claim.
Goals live on the patient record under Treatment Goals and across the practice under Goal Tracker and Goal Progress.
Writing goals
Add Goal creates a Long-Term goal; Add STG nests short-term goals under it. Each goal has the goal text, target criteria (for example 80 percent accuracy across 10 sessions), the baseline, and a status: Active, Achieved, On Hold, or Discontinued. Goal banks by discipline give you a starting point to edit.
Recording progress
Progress is recorded per session: accuracy achieved, trials attempted and successful, a performance rating (excellent, good, fair, poor, emerging), the assistance level (independent, minimal, moderate, or maximum cues), and a note. Link goals inside Quick Dictate so the session’s data lands on the goal automatically, or record it from the Session Goal Tracker.
Watching the trajectory
Each goal shows Current Accuracy and Progress to Goal. Goals with minimal progress get a review flag (“Minimal progress, review approach”; “Below expected progress”) so you can change the plan before the recert.
Progress reports
Goal Progress Report builds the report for a date range (Include achieved goals is optional): the trajectory chart, evidence per goal, and improving versus plateaued goals. Generate PDF, then Print, Submit to Payer, or attach it to a claim. When no sessions fall in the range the report says so rather than inventing evidence.
Families
Active goals appear on the portal dashboard with progress bars, translated into the family’s language. Home programs can be linked to a goal so practice at home shows against it (Home programs).
Frequently asked questions
How is percent progress calculated?
From sessions at target: the number of recorded sessions where accuracy met the goal's target accuracy, divided by the goal's target number of sessions.
What do families see?
Active goals with progress bars on their portal dashboard, in their language.
