Records export and practice export
Export one patient's full record for a release of information, or the whole practice roster as a file the import wizard can read. Both are logged.
Full record export (one patient)
On the patient profile, Full record export downloads the complete chart as a portable file: Sessions, Goals, Claims, and Documents. Export full record asks you to confirm because the export is logged as a disclosure in the patient’s audit record. The same action is on each row of Individual-rights requests.
Practice export (everyone)
Settings > Import also has the Practice export card. It downloads your whole roster in the same column layout the Data Import Wizard reads, so it doubles as a backup and as the file you would hand to another system. Owners and admins only; one audit event records who exported and how many rows.
Audit logs
Settings > Compliance > Audit Logs is where the disclosures these exports write can be reviewed. See Exports and reports.
Frequently asked questions
Who can run the practice export?
Owners and admins. It exports the patients the same way the Patients list shows them for that user, and writes one audit event with the counts.
Is the export logged as a disclosure?
The full record export is. It is written to the patient's audit record as a disclosure, which is what a records request or accounting of disclosures needs.
