Setting up supervision

On the assistant’s profile (Users > the provider), set Supervising provider. From then on their signed notes are routed to that supervisor.

The pending-notes queue

The Supervisor dashboard lists notes awaiting co-sign with the patient, assistant, date, and time since signature, plus statistics for the period. Open a note, review, and Co-sign. You can send it back with a comment instead.

Modifiers

When an assistant delivered the visit, Quick Dictate suggests the assistant modifier your payer expects (CQ for PTA, CO for COTA) on the timed codes. Confirm it during code review.

Where to see it

The Billing workspace links to the Co-sign queue, and the Sessions action queue counts notes waiting for you.

Frequently asked questions

Can an assistant's visit be billed before co-sign?

No. Sefton holds the claim until the supervising provider co-signs, which is what most payers require.
