Sessions and scheduling
Time tracking and Quick Time Entry
Log timed services quickly, see units computed from minutes, and keep the 8-minute rule and time-match compliance checks honest.
Time Tracking is under Billing. Quick Time Entry (the Log Time Entry button, also on the Sessions floating menu) is built to log several sessions in one go.
Quick Time Entry
Each row is one service: Patient, Date, Start, CPT® code, Minutes, and Units. Add Another Entry stacks rows for a whole afternoon; Log Time saves them all. Rows with no patient or a duration under one minute are flagged before saving.

Units and the 8-minute rule
For timed codes, Sefton computes units from total timed minutes using the Medicare 8-minute rule (and the per-code rule for payers that use it). The unit count is shown on the row so you can catch an entry that undercounts or overcounts before it reaches a claim. The rule pools timed minutes first: 8 to 22 minutes is one unit, 23 to 37 two, 38 to 52 three, and each further 15 minutes adds a unit.
Care-management time
Non-face-to-face time can be logged with its category: Collaborative Care Management (CCM), Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), Principal Care Management (PCM), or Other, with a short description.
Dashboard
The Time Tracking dashboard summarizes minutes and units per provider and per payer for the period, and flags visits whose documented minutes do not match the billed units (the same check the Billing Compliance Dashboard runs).
